The Network and Privacy Liability coverage is now available to medical groups and doctor’s offices at a very low cost. It is needed to protect the organization in case of actual or alleged violation of patient privacy information. The coverage is broad and includes Network Security. Violations can occur if the patient data base is accessed and privacy information is disclosed. Full Regulatory proceedings, against the organization, including HIPAA, are covered as well.

- Network Security and Privacy including:
- Online and offline information
- Virus attacks
- Denial of service

Patient Notification and Credit Monitoring:
- All necessary legal expense
- PR, advertising and postage expense
- Credit monitoring expense (subject to a sublimit)
Data Recovery Costs:
- To recover and/or replace data (subject to a sublimit) that is:
- compromised
- damaged
- lost
- erased
- corrupted
Program Qualifications:
- Must not have experienced any claims/incidents in the last 5 years
- Must have a firewall and anti-virus system in place
- Must be a small physician practice or medical group
- Larger Medical Groups and Hospitals are eligible for coverage but must be underwritten and priced according to the extent of their risks
